WMST 425B (3 credits) – Special Topics Racialization, Gendered Violence, and Sexual Labours

Course Description:

This course examines different issues of racialization, gendered violence, and sexual labours in Canada and beyond. It engages with questions of sexual violence and (neo) colonization; legal and moral regulation affecting sex workers; processes of racialization in the sex trade; scholarly and popular representations of race, violence, and sexual labours; and finally attempts to memorialize, remember and resist social erasure, stigmatization and violence.
