Course Description (from course website):

Nuanced historical and contemporary issues that have shaped the exchanges, accommodations, and conflicts between and within Islam, Modernity, and the West. Topics include secularism, media, violence, human rights, and the treatment of minorities. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
